Okinawa's Ocean, With Life as the First Priority
We are Association of Marine Leisure Promotion (AMP), a general incorporated association based in Okinawa, Japan, working to make ocean tourism safer—for visitors, for the people who guide them, and for the coral reefs that make this sea worth visiting.
This site exists to help you make informed decisions about Okinawa's ocean. We are not a travel agency and we do not sell tours. What we offer is transparency: how to choose a safer operator, what the sea is really like in each season, and how your visit can help protect Okinawa's coral environments.
What we believe
- Human life comes first. No photo, schedule, or booking is worth overriding a safety decision.
- Honesty over marketing. Okinawa has a rainy season, typhoons, and winter winds. We tell you when and what they affect, because an informed traveler is a safer traveler.
- The reef is not a backdrop. Okinawa's coral ecosystems are a living environment with rules and limits. Visiting well means protecting them.
- Transparency, not guarantees. No one can promise a risk-free ocean. What can be shown is how safety is prepared for—training, equipment, conditions, and emergency access.

In an emergency: dial 119 for ambulance/fire and 118 for the Japan Coast Guard in an emergency at sea.
